Menopause coaching is a burgeoning field that fills the gap between what your doctor is saying (on not saying) and you carrying out the necessary daily habits to live a full life during menopause. No one has sat down with us to talk us through how our hormones have shifted and what that means. No one has told us how we have to change our life or what to do now that we are experiencing menopause signs and symptoms. Most doctors don’t know what to say either. The medical field has been woefully under educated about menopause and has brushed women aside for years. We were told we were whiny, and to deal with it since it’s a natural part of life. Thankfully the pendulum has moved towards education and awareness because Gen X “isn’t haven’t it” Over the last 4-5 years we have seen an influx of new information (some from clinical research and some less scientific) about menopause- symptoms and cures. We are flooded with information on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram and Facebook on what we need to buy to feel like like our old selves again.
I will help you to narrow in on your goals (i.e. I want to get a good night sleep) and create the healthy habits to reach those goals. We will work together to identify the activities that are within your reach and work at your pace. We will have a mix of televisits and phone calls. The phone calls will be our check-ins while our video call visits will be much longer. And, yes, there will be homework. Working with a coach means being open to learning and trying new things to reach your goals. We know that what we used to do before menopause doesn’t work well now. So let’s learn some new habits together and feel vibrant again. We will have 8 video calls (two a month) for four months. We will have a call between the weeks we meet as check in calls.
